Current production

This film is solely funded by private donations from good willed people.

The goal of this project is to support Kharkiv’s artists morally and financially, by providing stipends for executed works that will compose the body of the film, as well as to give they’re art exposure beyond Ukraine through further dessimination of the film to festivals  globally. It is a document of how war impacts ones spirit, sense of home and artistic process, and of how one finds strength in a dark world.

Our current goal is to raise 20,000 Euro for production costs. This sum will be distributed as stipends that support artists and film professionals in Ukraine, travel costs, equipment rental, as salary for the director and producer and as administrative expenses. The Film is scheduled for production throughout 2024 and premier in the summer of 2025.

Hello producer...

Tell Me – Де Ти?

2022

In 2022 we shot a short hybrid documentary about loosing one’s home and sense of belonging, to the war. How does our body respond to the violence of war? How does the psyche wrestle with the ultimate threat to our wellbeing and security? How does it feel to leave home, not knowing whether you will ever return? This short dance film is an exploration of the visceral after-effects of the war in Ukraine. Four dancers delve into the difficult emotions and borderline states that the war leaves us with, expressing them through dance, poetry and visual storytelling. “the arts grant us the rare opportunity to have a full experience of life, a direct contact with it, not mitigated by someone else, to discover that which is most alive and constant, deep inside every single human being, and to share this experience with an audience.“

Maria - Theater & Film Director/ Pedagogue

Maria is a native of Kharkiv, Ukraine. She studied Lecoq based physical theater at the London School of Performing Arts. In 2005 she co-founded the Eleffant-Foot theater company with Sandro Garibashvili in Chicago, USA, which contributed four original productions to the local physical theater scene. After a short US career, she decided to return to her home town in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where she initiated a Physical Theater School and has taught Ensemble devised physical theater since 2013. In parallel to her theatrical activity she has earned a license as a Geshtalt therapist and has become a practitioner. Maria has adapted an improvisational approach to theater creation, with an emphasis on physical presence and the uncontrived and personal stories of the actors.

“Theater is a communal experience, often even transpersonal: through openness and playfulness actors on stage, together with the audience, can jump into a true emotional state, which can lead to a transformational process, in those of us who are ready…”

Maria Koreneva

Manifesto

We are the constant movement of this world, discovering itself through new forms. We would like to create a dialogue with you in the form of dance. Let’s engage with what is most important in our life, without a filter, lets be present with the moment, neither adding nor taking away from its great energy. Let’s find the emotional root of the stories we live through and let them take us to great heights. We are moved by stories that unite us, poetry that transforms our dreams into visions, sincerity of the exposed truth of human states, and playfulness that elevates that truth.
